DESIGN 121 / DP2 / WEEK 7
Claude Design Prototypes
This week focused on evolving our earlier low-fidelity concepts into more developed interaction prototypes using Claude Design. We explored ways to make news engagement feel less overwhelming, more conversational, and more emotionally manageable for Gen Z users.
CLAUDE DESIGN PROTOTYPE 1
Margin Extension
A browser extension concept designed to make difficult news stories feel more approachable through guided reading modes, summaries, timelines, and collaborative discussion.

Timeline View
Provides historical context and key moments related to a story, helping users understand complex topics in a more visual and digestible way.

Adaptive Reading Modes
Users can choose different levels of engagement based on emotional bandwidth, attention span, or available time.

Social Discussion Layer
Encourages smaller-scale conversations around news through reactions, collaborative interpretation, and discussion prompts.
CLAUDE DESIGN PROTOTYPE 2
The Circle
A private, voice-note based news-sharing experience designed to make political discussion feel more personal, lower-pressure, and less performative.

Private Circles
Users can create multiple circles with friends and family where reactions happen through voice notes instead of public comment sections.

Global Discovery
An interactive world map that filters stories by region, encouraging users to explore perspectives beyond their normal feed.

Feed Breakdown
Visualizes overlap between what users and their circles consume, helping surface blind spots and encouraging broader engagement across topics.
